Today is the most anticipated wedding of the year. Yes, you are right; it is the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton! Any idea which Indian celebrity was voted the most as the ideal match of the prince? It’s none other than our Sheila, Katrina Kaif! Well, I know it isn’t a secret as you have already read the headline before reaching the main content!

The royal wedding has been much hyped across the globe using it as a great source of attracting attention of the people towards various events and actions. This made Shaadi.com, a matrimony site to conduct an online survey asking people to select the most ideal Indian celebrity match for Prince William.

The choices given to the participants included Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, today’s three hottest divas of Bollywood. There were around 8,000 respondents who participated in the poll and cast about 75.3 percent votes to Katrina Kaif, the British born Bollywood star, choosing her to be the ideal match for the prince. 16.7 percent votes went to Priyanka Chopra, the ‘Desi girl’ and a mere eight percent of the votes went to Sonakshi Sinha, the Dabangg fame. The result was declared last evening, on Thursday the eve of the royal wedding.

On asking Gourav Rakshit, the business head of Shaadi.com about the survey, he replied to the press that the survey was essentially conducted to manifest the enthusiasm of people for the Royal Wedding in India as it has received much importance from all over the world. The survey was conducted as a part of regular researches conducted by the site which it conducts to analyze the preferences of the site members.
